How BNTS Forged
During the worst day of my life I was treated with compassion and kindness which I could never put into words. The EMTs and police officers that responded were truly sent from God. One day following a counseling session the calling to carry on Ben’s love and his commitment to helping others washed over me. Ben’s life of service WILL continue by helping those who daily encounter others, who are having their worst day.
Ben Neely Trauma Support was established to help others who often encounter traumatic events in their service to others.
We offer funding for a three prong approach:
1. Provide training on how to support families who have experienced a traumatic event.
2. Provide training for responders to recognize colleagues or self in need of counseling due to the events experienced in the line of helping others. 3. Funding for private counseling for the responders. It is our goal that through BNTS, Ben’s life will serve others even if he isn’t physically here to do the work. As we pick up his torch of service we are led by the mission to #lovelikeBen.

At Ben Neely Trauma Support, we understand the challenges that first responders face on the job. We believe that providing funding for counseling and training for teams is essential to help them manage their stress and process trauma. Our program provides funding for counseling sessions and provides comprehensive training and support to help first responders deal with the unique stresses of their jobs. We strive to make sure that no first responder is left behind. Support is available to members of our community involved in Emergency Medical Services, Firefighters, and Police Officers.
